Their success stories are selected for exhibition and promotion on Tejari.com and for the most outstanding cases, the pioneering organizations and individuals leading the charge will be awarded with the prestigious Trophy.

Categories of Success:

All Tejari members are eligible for selection into the eLEADERS Club. To support the strategic goals of this program in promoting leading practices, eligibility will revolve along the following five leadership groups:

Power Buyer - The group is made of the top buyers on the Tejari marketplace who maintain a consistent high volume of monthly buying activity and rank as the most successful companies in terms of sourcing and awarding business.

Power Seller - The group is made of the top sellers on the Tejari marketplace who maintain a consistent high volume of monthly selling activity and rank as the most successful companies in terms of awarded business.

Business Transformation - The group is made of the pioneering enterprise companies on the Tejari marketplace who have made significant strides in the implementation of global best practices in e-procurement.

No Business Left Behind - The group is made of the top private and public sector trade organizations on the Tejari marketplace who have managed to recruit, train, and activate their association members in the use of electronic commerce.

Best in Show - The group is made of the top SME companies on the Tejari marketplace who have developed the most attractive and popular showrooms online.

Selection and Evaluation Process

Tejari members will need to be nominated by their local Tejari office as candidates for the eLEADERS Club. The program will select three Tejari members to be admitted into the Club on a monthly basis. Winners may be selected from any of the leadership groups. The evaluation panel is drawn from across Tejari and from within the Club. Panel will be comprised of a variety of backgrounds to ensure the widest possible coverage in terms of impartiality, business-focused assessments, and specialist knowledge.

On a monthly basis, following an eligibility screening, each nomination will be evaluated by the program panel. A threshold will be established for the cases to be accepted and candidates to be admitted into the Club. All candidates will be notified of the outcome of the evaluation within one month of submission and if successful, the timing for publication of their success story.

The winners (one per leadership group) will be announced and presented by the CEO of Tejari at the eLEADERS Club annual event. All nominations submitted by the local Tejari Office will be judged on the basis of the ranking metrics under the respective leadership groups as well as common evaluation criteria including, but not limited to:

  • To what extent is the case globally recognized and conformant to best practices?
  • Does the case demonstrate innovation or a “first timer” event?
  • To what extent is the case transferable and/or inspiring to others?
  • Have adequate evidence of business impact or results been provided (quantitative and qualitative)?
  • Is the case sustainable or a one-off phenomenon?
  • To what extent is the case operational (vs. plans, pilots and trials)?
  • Is the member is good standing and without negative feedback from business partners associated with the case?

Successful candidates will be admitted to the Club for a period of one year. Membership will need to be renewed annually against current criteria with submission of an entirely new case or submission of past cases with significant demonstration of progress or attainment of new activity levels.
